Welcome to the Naples-on-the Gulf Chapter of the Women’s Council of REALTORS®! Our state of the art web site is designed to keep you abreast of our chapter’s meetings and events, as well as, trends and information regarding our current real estate market. | Call to Action, HVCC | 
Contact your Representative and Senator today to let them know that the HVCC Increases Costs for Consumers and Results in Poor Quality Appraisals. FEDERAL CALL TO ACTION
As of May 1, 2009, the housing GSEs (Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac) no longer purchase loans from lenders "accepting appraisal reports completed by an appraiser selected, retained, or compensated in any manner by any third party." Lenders may only accept appraisal reports from a pre-approved list of appraisers or unregulated Appraisal Management Companies. This new requirement, called the Home Valuation Code of Conduct (HVCC), is bad for consumers and must be repealed. Call your federal Representatives and Senators today and tell them how the HVCC is impacting your business and ask them to help repeal the HVCC. STATE LEADERSHIP POSITIONS
It's that time of year for chapters that are submitting nomination forms to the State Nominating Committee for those members of their chapter that have a desire to move into a District Vice President, Governor or State Line Officer position. All of the Local Chapter Presidents have received information from Nominating Chair Rosemary Mahoney that will be submitted before June 22nd from the result of their governing board's decisions.
Many of you may have questions on making that decision to move forward in the State Chapter. The State Focus committee has a task force of three members who will be happy to answer your questions and give you an idea of what can be expected of a state officer, and advise you on your qualifications. The task force consists of Bill Jurek, Cynthia Shafer and Rosemary Mahoney. They are available to help you make informed decisions. Please call on them!
